Construction continues on Carnival Cruise Lines’ newest and largest ship, the 130,000-ton Carnival Dream which is set to debut Sept. 21 from Europe.
The ship recently completed sea trials and is currently undergoing final interior and exterior outfitting at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.
Making maximum use of its expansive open deck spaces, Carnival Dream will offer a host of outdoor facilities and features, including a basketball court pictured here. Other top deck features include a massive Carnival WaterWorks aqua park, a two-level Serenity adults only retreat and an 18-hole miniature golf course.
Following a series of 12-day Mediterranean voyages and eight-day sailings from New York, Carnival Dream will reposition to Port Canaveral to operate a special nine-day cruise before launching year-round seven-day service Dec. 12.
