The one-year anniversary of the Carnival Fascination’s cruise program from Jacksonville, which began September 20, 2008, was marked with a recent reception attended by shipboard and embarkation employees.
The festivities, held in the JAXPORT cruise terminal, included a stunning cake custom-made for the occasion. Pictured with the cake are the ship’s Hotel Director Andrew Mace and Guest Services Manager Clare McNicholas, along with JAXPORT Terminal Manager Linda Moore.
The 70,000-ton Carnival Fascination operates four- and five-day Key West/Bahamas cruises from JAXPORT year-round, carrying an estimated 170,000 passengers annually.
The ship will soon feature 98 new balcony staterooms that will be incorporated during a multimillion-dollar renovation in January 2010. Other enhancements will include a new Carnival WaterWorks aqua park, Serenity adults-only retreat and resort-style main pool area.
