Carnival Cruise Lines Presents $50,000 Check to St. Jude Children’s Hospital During Dream Inaugurals

Kicking off a three-year partnership with St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Carnival Cruise Lines presented the organization with a $50,000 check following a waterslide christening ceremony on the new Carnival Dream during which nine-year-old Hailee Steberger inaugurated the vessel’s 303-foot-long Twister slide, the longest in cruising.  Read the full story

Carnival, Port of New Orleans Host Reception to Commemorate Arrival of Carnival Triumph

Carnival Cruise Lines and the Port of New Orleans hosted a reception to commemorate the start up of service of the Carnival Triumph, which launched a year-round schedule of four-, five- and seven-day Caribbean cruises earlier this month.  The 2,758-passenger vessel is the largest cruise ship currently based at the port year-round.  Carnival Triumph replaced the Carnival Fantasy in New Orleans, representing a 34 percent capacity increase from that port. Carnival Dream’s Inaugural Call at Port Canaveral Celebrated with Special Reception

Carnival Cruise Lines hosted more than 200 community leaders, travel agents and VIPs during a reception aboard its newest and largest ship, the new 130,000-ton Carnival Dream, to mark the vessel’s first-ever visit to Port Canaveral, Fla.  The 3,646-passenger ship stopped in Port Canaveral as part of an eight-day cruise from New York and will launch year-round Caribbean service from Port Canaveral Dec. 3.
