Pediatric patients at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Children’s Hospital received a special visit yesterday, when 16 members of the Carnival Fantasy’s staff, including Captain Roberto Costi, stopped by to deliver some holiday cheer.

During their visit, the shipboard team brought some Carnival-style fun to the patients, entertaining the kids with performances by Fun Force, the ship’s high-energy acrobatic team, production show dancers, and a magician. Of course, the line’s ever-popular mascot “Fun Ship” Freddy was also present handing out Fun Ship Freddy dolls and various other holiday gifts.

The 70,000-ton Carnival Fantasy launched the first year-round cruise program from Charleston in May 2010 and currently operates five- and seven-day Bahamas/Key West cruise
