In recognition of National Mentoring Month, Carnival Corporation & plc donated $150,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Greater Miami during halftime at this weekend’s Miami HEAT game.

The $150,000 donation continues Carnival’s longstanding support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami and will allow BBBS to provide adult mentoring opportunities for 100 children throughout South Florida.

In cooperation with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami, Carnival hosts 90 Miami-Dade high school students each month at its Miami headquarters as part of the company’s innovative Scholarship and Mentoring Program.  The students are paired with a member of Carnival’s management team who provide a first-hand look at the business world.  Carnival also provides 15 four-year scholarships to graduating seniors each year and to date has purchased 150 scholarships valued at $1.8 million through the Florida Pre-Paid Scholarship Program.
