TOTALLY TRANSFORMED CARNIVAL SUNSHINE OFFERS VARIETY OF FUN SHIP 2.0 INNOVATIONS, HOST OF UNIQUE ON-BOARD FEATURES

The totally transformed Carnival Sunshine ushers in an exciting new era in “Fun Ship” cruising following a groundbreaking $155 million renovation earlier this year that added a wide range of fantastic features and facilities, along with several innovations unique to this vessel which makes its U.S. debut in New Orleans Nov. 17.

Taking place over the course of 75 days, the unprecedented makeover added all of the line’s Fun Ship 2.0 dining, bar and entertainment features, as well as an additional 182 staterooms.

Following a 16-day trans-Atlantic crossing, Carnival Sunshine arrived in New Orleans November 17 and will operate a pierside overnight event that evening followed by a special six-day cruise November 18-24.  Carnival Sunshine then kicks off a winter schedule of seven-day cruises from New Orleans November 24 before repositioning to Port Canaveral, Fla., for year-round five- to eight-day Caribbean departures beginning in April 2014.
