Carnival Victory Ship Overview

Posted on: January 17th, 2013 - Ship Overviews

Carnival Victory became the newest and largest ship to offer year-round four- and five-day departures from South Florida when it launched the popular short cruise program on Feb. 4, 2013.  Carnival Victory’s Miami-based schedule features three distinctly different itineraries, providing consumers with a variety of convenient and affordable cruise options departing from one of America’s top tourist destinations.

Four-day “long weekend” cruises departing Thursdays call at Key West, Fla., and Cozumel, Mexico; five-day cruises departing Mondays include stops at Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos Islands; the private Bahamian island of Half Moon Cay; and Nassau, The Bahamas. Five-day voyages departing Saturdays feature George Town, Grand Cayman; and Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

In addition to a diversity of “themed” lounges, bars, and nightspots, the 102,000-ton Carnival Victory offers myriad full-service and casual dining choices, an on-board health and fitness facility,  and supervised “Camp Carnival” and “Club O2” programs for children and teens, respectively..

PUBLIC ROOMS AND AREAS
Carnival Victory features a variety of dramatic public spaces inspired by the world’s great bodies of water ranging in style from the Greek-inspired Ionian Room, featuring Doric columns and reproductions of ancient Greek vases; the Irish Sea Bar, a rollicking piano bar whose design elements include green leather booths, carpeting with a shamrock motif and paintings of Irish landscapes; the Aegean Bar, a sports bar celebrating the Olympic Games with marble-like columns and murals depicting matches from ancient games. Other venues include the South China Sea Casino, whose interiors are dominated by a sculpture of Neptune surrounded by four mermaids; the Caspian Sea Bar, in which Farcus offers his own interpretation of Russia’s famous L’Hermitage; and Club Arctic, which, like the name implies, pays tribute to the icy sea with walls resembling blocks of ice and couches covered with a unique pattern of playful penguins.

DINING OPTIONS
Dining is considered a highlight of a “Fun Ship” cruise and the Carnival Victory offers a wide variety of delectable formal and casual choices to suit any taste. In addition to the full-service Atlantic and Pacific formal restaurants, the Carnival Victory includes the Mediterranean Restaurant, a casual poolside eatery offering full breakfast and lunch buffets, and a 24-hour pizzeria.  Complimentary 24-hour stateroom service is available and vegetarian and children’s selections are featured on all dining room menus.  Carnival Victory also features Spa Carnival fare, health-conscious gourmet-style items that are lower in calories, cholesterol, sodium and fat content.

ON-BOARD PROGRAMS
