style="text-align: justify;">MIAMI — Carnival Cruise Lines offers consumers an exciting, value-packed short cruise option with the Carnival Sensation’s three- and four-day Bahamas cruises from Port Canaveral, Fla.

On this route, three-day cruises depart Thursdays and call at Nassau, while four- day voyages depart Sundays and call at Nassau and Freeport.

The Carnival Sensation recently underwent an extensive multi-million-dollar renovation that included the addition of a Carnival WaterWorks aqua park, Serenity adults-only retreat, a redesigned tropical-themed main pool and 98 new balconies to ocean view staterooms. Encompassing 10 passenger decks, the Carnival Sensation features a variety of on-board amenities and entertainment venues, myriad dining options, an expansive health and fitness center, expansive youth facilities, and a comprehensive golf program.

PUBLIC ROOMS AND AREAS
Designed by Carnival’s award-winning architect Joe Farcus, the Carnival Sensation’s interior features an abstract décor that varies greatly throughout the various public rooms and areas. Highlights include the Touch of Class piano bar which offers a “hands-on” environment, with an arched entrance of hands, glass-topped tables supported by hands, and bar stools in the form of fingers; and the Renaissance-inspired Michelangelo Lounge, an homage to the artist with a mix of classic and contemporary design elements.

The ship’s library, the Oak Room, offers a traditional setting of mahogany-and-glass bookcases and walls adorned with hand-carved motifs of acorns and oak leaves, while the refined, art deco atmosphere of the Polo Lounge creates an ideal setting for cocktails and conversation. Other public areas include Kaleidoscope, a pulsating dance club with a state-of-the-art sound and light system; and the Fantasia Lounge, a multi-level theater showcasing lavish revues.

DINING OPTIONS
The Carnival Sensation offers the widest variety of formal and casual options at sea, featuring the Fantasy and Ecstasy formal dining rooms and the poolside Seaview Bar & Grill, a casual eatery serving full breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets and a 24-hour pizzeria. Dining room menus also include vegetarian dishes and children’s menus, as well as Spa Carnival Fare, delicious health-conscious menu items that are lower in fat, sodium, cholesterol and calories. The ship also features a sushi bar, patisserie, as well as complimentary 24-hour room service and ice cream and frozen yogurt.

ON-BOARD PROGRAMS
‘CAMP CARNIVAL,’ ‘CIRCLE C,’ ‘CLUB O2’ – Building upon Carnival’s distinction as the family cruise leader carrying 670,000 children annually fleetwide, Carnival Sensation offers organized programs for three different age groups – Camp Carnival for 2- to 11-year-olds, Circle “C” for 12- to 14-year-olds, and Club O2 for 15- to 17-year-olds – with supervised activities and expansive, modern facilities for each group.

CARNIVAL WATERWORKS- A highlight of the recent upgrades is Carnival WaterWorks, a sprawling aqua park that is designed to appeal to guests of all ages. Towering over Verandah Deck, the expansive open-air facility includes a 300-foot-long water slide – the longest at sea – along with twin 82-foot-long racing slides and various water spray apparatus.

Another signature element of the renovations is the redesigned main pool area. Located mid-ship on Lido Deck, the area has a distinctive resort-style ambiance, with colorful, oversized umbrellas, thatched roofing, vibrant tile work and other tropical-themed design elements.

ADULTS ONLY RETREAT- Another new feature on the Carnival Sensation is Serenity, the line’s popular adults-only retreat located aft on Promenade Deck. With design elements that include teak decking, large umbrellas and thatched roofing, Serenity provides an ocean-going oasis for relaxation and comfort. Guests can enjoy icy cocktails and frozen drinks while relaxing in plush chaise lounges and chairs.

‘SPA CARNIVAL’ – Fitness has become an important part of people’s daily lives and guests sailing on the Carnival Sensation can take advantage of the ship’s newly renovated health and fitness facility, “Spa Carnival.” Among the largest facilities of its kind, the 12,000-square-foot “floating health club” features new private treatment rooms and updated exercise equipment, as well as a mirrored aerobics room, men’s and women’s locker rooms, steam rooms and saunas, and a sophisticated menu of body and facial treatments, including a number of exotic “European-style” therapies. Also featured is a one-eighth-mile jogging track, along with a beauty salon offering a variety of hair, nail and make-up services.

SPACIOUS ACCOMMODATIONS - Ninety-eight existing ocean view staterooms on the Carnival Sensation have been retrofitted with balconies, creating expansive new cabins measuring approximately 230 square feet. Twenty-four of the new balcony cabins are located mid-ship, 12 are located near the stern, and the other 62 are located aft, with several of these accommodations featuring extended balconies. Additionally, several suites have been modified to feature larger, extended balconies.

MIAMI — Carnival Cruise Lines offers consumers an exciting, value-packed short cruise option with the Carnival Sensation’s three- and four-day Bahamas cruises from Port Canaveral, Fla.

‘CAMP CARNIVAL,’ ‘CIRCLE C,’ ‘CLUB O2’ – Building upon Carnival’s distinction as the family cruise leader carrying 625,000 children annually fleetwide, Carnival Sensation offers organized programs for three different age groups – Camp Carnival for 2- to 11-year-olds, Circle “C” for 12- to 14-year-olds, and Club O2 for 15- to 17-year-olds – with supervised activities and expansive, modern facilities for each group.

As part of Carnival’s fleetwide stateroom enhancements, all of the Carnival Sensation’s 1,026 staterooms feature the Carnival Comfort Bed sleep system, featuring plush mattresses, luxurious duvets and duvet covers, fluffy pillows and high quality sheets and linens. All accommodations include terrycloth bathrobes and offer in-cabin amenity kits with a variety of brand-name product samples for men and women.

INTERNET CAFÉ, WI-FI ACCESS, CELL PHONE SERVICE – Like all “Fun Ships,” Carnival Sensation offers an Internet café with private workstations featuring flat-screen monitors, along with Wi-Fi access available in virtually all public rooms and areas. Guests can also make and receive cell phone calls whether the ship is at sea or in port.
<p
