              MIAMI (September 11, 2007) – Bob Dickinson, retiring former president of Carnival Cruise Lines, and Florida International University Associate Professor Emeritus of Marketing and Management Andy Vladimir will sign copies of their book, the second edition of “Selling the Sea:  An Inside Look at the Cruise Industry,” at Books & Books, 265 Aragon Ave. in Coral Gables, Fla., on Monday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m.

             “Selling the Sea:  An Inside Look at the Cruise Industry” is an updated version of the authors’ original version published in 1996 and offers an in-depth analysis of the many changes that have taken place within the industry over the past 11 years.

            With insightful commentary from some of the industry’s top executives, “Selling the Sea:  An Inside Look at the Cruise Industry” examines the unique product, marketing, and operational strategies that have enabled cruising to grow into a multi-billion-dollar global entity.
