Josh Weinstein has been named vice president – treasurer of Miami-based Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK), the world’s largest cruise operator. In this capacity, Weinstein oversees the day-to-day management of Carnival’s financing and other treasury functions. Weinstein, who joined Carnival in 2002, previously served as the company’s assistant general counsel responsible for financings, acquisitions and divestitures, commercial contracts and intellectual property and privacy law matters. During his tenure as assistant general counsel, Weinstein was involved in more than 50 different financial transactions representing more than $12 billion of debt.

Justin French has been promoted to director of sales and marketing – Canada for Carnival Cruise Lines, the world’s largest cruise operator. French joined Carnival Cruise Lines in 2003 as the line’s business development manager for western Ontario. Last year, he was named Carnival’s “Canadian Regional Salesperson of the Year,” as well as the company’s “Groups Salesperson of the Year.” Before joining Carnival, French spent 11 years with Delta Air Lines, starting in 1992 as a customer service agent in the air logistics department, and another eight years in the company’s sales and distribution department, first as a sales representative and then as a district sales manager in charge of all passenger sales for Ontario.

Bo-Erik Blomqvist, a 20-year cruise industry veteran, has been named senior vice president – corporate shipbuilding for Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK). Based at Carnival’s Southampton, UK, offices, Blomqvist will begin February 1, 2008, and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s various newbuilding projects. He will report to Carnival Corporation & plc Chairman and CEO Micky Arison and Vice Chairman and COO Howard Frank.
