NEW SERIES OF WEBISODES FROM CARNIVAL OFFER UPDATES ON THE ‘FUN SHIP’ PRODUCT VIA INTERVIEWS WITH COMPANY EXECUTIVES

On-Line Videos Debut on BookCCL.com April 23

MIAMI (April 17, 2008) – Travel agents seeking information and updates on the “Fun Ship” vacation experience can tune into a new series of webisodes debuting on Carnival Cruise Lines’ travel agent Web portal, BookCCL.com, April 23, 2008.

Hosted by Carnival’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Guest Services Lynn C. Torrent, the webisodes – entitled “Onboard with Carnival” – will feature interviews with a different executive each month, beginning with Carnival’s President and CEO Gerry Cahill, who offers a look at the many exciting developments within the company.

The webisodes were created to provide travel agents with a comprehensive overview of various aspects of Carnival, everything from innovative new ships and itineraries to the continued evolution of the “Fun Ship” vacation experience and helpful sales tips for increasing group business, all in a highly engaging and entertaining manner.

Taking place in a relaxed, “talk show”-like setting, the webisodes also provide the travel agent audience an opportunity to get to know Torrent in her new role at Carnival, as well as the Carnival executives she interviews, who detail their own perspective on what the future holds for the company and the cruise industry as a whole.

“At Carnival, we’re always looking for new ways to reach out to travel agents and these new webisodes offer a fun way to learn more about Carnival and its product while providing a unique forum to get to know our executives on a more personal level,” said Torrent.

In addition to the premiere episode with Gerry Cahill debuting April 23, future webisodes will feature Carnival’s Executive Vice President of Marketing and Guest Experience Ruben Rodriguez, Senior Vice President of Marketing Planning Terry Thornton, and Vice President of Group Sales and Administration Cherie Weinstein. Carnival Corporation & plc Chairman and CEO Micky Arison will be featured in an upcoming segment, as well.

The webisodes are being promoted via e-mail blasts to travel agents and on-line banners on BookCCL.com, as well as through advertisements in various travel trade publications, including Travel Weekly, Travel Agent, Travel Trade and TravelAge West in the U.S., and Canadian Travel Press and Tourisme Plus in Canada.

Carnival is the largest and most popular cruise line in the world, with 22 “Fun Ships” operating three- to 18-day voyages to the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Hawaii, the Panama Canal, Canada, New England, Bermuda, Europe, and South America.

The line currently has three new ships scheduled for delivery between now and 2011.  The first of those, the 113,300-ton Carnival Splendor, is scheduled to enter service in Europe July 2, 2008.
