CARNIVAL CREATES SPECIAL MICRO-SITE TO PROMOTE CLIA’S ‘WORLD’S LARGEST CRUISE NIGHT’ THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16

Free Upgrades Available on All 2009 Bookings Made That Evening

MIAMI (October 1, 2008) – In conjunction with CLIA’s “World’s Largest Cruise Night” promotion taking place Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, Carnival Cruise Lines has created a special micro-site to help travel agents promote the popular cruise-themed sales event.

Additionally, complimentary upgrades are provided to all bookings made that evening. The free upgrades apply to virtually all 2009 “Fun Ship” departures, including a wide range of three- to five-day getaways to the Caribbean or Mexico, seven-day voyages to the Caribbean, Mexican Riviera and Alaska, or longer length sailings to Europe.

Available via a special “World’s Largest Cruise Night” link within Carnival’s travel agent Internet portal, BookCCL.com/wlcn, the new micro-site is designed as a “one-stop” shop where travel agents can fulfill all of their sales and marketing needs.

Included within the site is a “Cruise Night Tool Kit” where travel agents can order “Fun Ship” postcards, letterhead, posters, brochures and balloons, as well as downloadable Carnival logos, including a specially designed “World’s Largest Cruise Night” logo, and e-mail templates for travel agents to create custom marketing materials.

Travel agents can also host a “cyber cruise night” on-line at Carnival’s Web-based group-planning tool, carnivalconnections.com, which offers agents the opportunity to create custom-designed “e-vites” to send to their clients.

“Our comprehensive micro-site and special upgrade offer underscore the importance of CLIA’s ‘World’s Largest Cruise Night,’ which provides travel agents with an excellent platform for seeking new business while reinforcing the value of cruising to their existing clients,” said Lynn Torrent, Carnival’s senior vice president of sales and guest experience.
