Carnival Cruise Lines Ships 2,000 Pounds of Relief Supplies to Haiti

Carnival Cruise Lines has shipped more than 2,000 pounds of relief supplies to Haiti to assist those affected by the devastating earthquake in the country earlier this month.   Donated by Carnival employees, the supplies include water, blankets, diapers, and protein bars and other non-perishable food items and are being shipped and distributed to Haiti by the University of Miami’s Project Medishare, a disaster relief organization.

Captain Gianpaolo Casula Retires After 34 Years At Carnival Cruise Lines

The retirement of Captain Gianpaolo Casula was marked with a reception at Carnival Cruise Lines’ Miami headquarters.  The event, which was attended by dozens of friends and co-workers, served to pay tribute to the captain’s long and distinguished maritime career which spans nearly 50 years, including the past 34 years at Carnival.

A Century Celebration; Guest Marks 100th Birthday on Carnival Legend

A 100th birthday is certainly a significant milestone but Vera Cunningham’s “century celebration” is one that she will never forget.Vera marked her 100th birthday with a memorable seven-day Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Legend which included a huge birthday celebration in the ship’s main dining room.    Vera’s birthday festivities culminated with a giant birthday cake – more than a foot high and three feet wide – which was presented to her during the reception on board. Vera and the Carnival Legend’s team are pictured here with the colorful oversized confection.
