Carnival’s classic American steakhouses offered on several ships continue to be hugely popular with guests. This week, Carnival began a test, offering some of the most popular selections from its steakhouse menus in the main dining rooms on three ships that don’t feature steakhouses. The entrees are being offered on the Carnival Paradise, Carnival Triumph and Carnival Inspiration and carry a fee of $18 each.
Tomorrow, September 30, marks the 10th anniversary of Carnival Cruise Lines’ first-ever departure from Port of Galveston. With the arrival of fall, Carnival Miracle is getting ready to head back to its winter home at Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for its popular eight-day Caribbean cruises. The ship will offer alternating Southern Caribbean itineraries beginning Oct. 16 through the winter and spring. Carnival Miracle sailed eight-day Caribbean from New York during the spring and summer.
Nearly 100 members of Carnival’s employee volunteer service group, the “Fun Team,” participated in the International Coastal Cleanup, an annual event sponsored by the Ocean Conservancy designed to improve the quality of beaches, lakes and other coastal areas.

Carnival’s redesigned exhibit at the Miami Children’s Museum – the country’s only cruise ship-themed children’s attraction – is the focus of a new video on the line’s Funville web portal. The video, which can be viewed here, includes a comprehensive overview of the exhibit’s many kid-friendly features, along with an interview with Carnival’s Chief Marketing Officer Jim Berra. Unveiled earlier this month, the ship-shaped attraction underwent an extensive makeover and now offers a host of new hands-on activities, including Puppet Ship Theatre focusing on maritime careers, along with an eye-catching nautical design.
