Carnival Testing New 'Steakhouse Entrees' on Three Ships

Carnival’s classic American steakhouses offered on several ships continue to be hugely popular with guests.  This week, Carnival began a test, offering some of the most popular selections from its steakhouse menus in the main dining rooms on three ships that don’t feature steakhouses.   The entrees are being offered on the Carnival Paradise, Carnival Triumph and Carnival Inspiration and carry a fee of $18 each.

Carnival, Port of Galveston Mark 10 Years of 'Fun Ship' Cruising From Texas

  Tomorrow, September 30, marks the 10th anniversary of Carnival Cruise Lines’ first-ever departure from Port of Galveston.  During the past decade, Carnival has increased its Galveston passenger counts from 28,000 in 2000 to nearly 325,000 this year, making the cruise line the port’s largest operator.   Carnival will further build upon its commitment to the Port of Galveston when the 3,690-passenger Carnival Magic, the newest addition to the “Fun Ship” fleet, commences seven-day Caribbean cruises to the Caribbean Nov. 14, 2011, becoming the largest cruise ship homeported in Texas year-round.  In addition, the 2,758-pasenger Carnival Triumph, currently based in New Orleans, will reposition to Galveston to launch year-round four- and five-day western Caribbean cruises Oct. 6, 2011. “For the past…

Carnival Miracle Heads South For the Winter

  With the arrival of fall, Carnival Miracle is getting ready to head back to its winter home at Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for its popular eight-day Caribbean cruises. The ship will offer alternating Southern Caribbean itineraries beginning Oct. 16 through the winter and spring. Carnival Miracle sailed eight-day Caribbean from New York during the spring and summer.

Raise a Glass; Winners Announced for Carnival Magic's RedFrog Pub Coaster Contest

  The votes are in!  After an intense week of on-line voting, the winners have been selected for the RedFrog Pub coaster contest which asked consumers to come up with creative slogans to be printed on coasters in the Caribbean-themed watering hole aboard the new Carnival Magic.

New On-Line Video Showcases Carnival's Renovated Exhibit at Miami Children's Museum

Carnival’s redesigned exhibit at the Miami Children’s Museum – the country’s only cruise ship-themed children’s attraction – is the focus of a new video on the line’s Funville web portal.  The video, which can be viewed here, includes a comprehensive overview of the exhibit’s many kid-friendly features, along with an interview with Carnival’s Chief Marketing Officer Jim Berra. Unveiled earlier this month, the ship-shaped attraction underwent an extensive makeover and now offers a host of new hands-on activities, including Puppet Ship Theatre focusing on maritime careers, along with an eye-catching nautical design.
