Earlier this week, Carnival Splendor employees collected dozens of “gently used” mattresses from the ship and delivered them to an orphanage in Puerto Vallarta, where the ship calls on Wednesdays.

The donation is just the latest example of the ship’s commitment to helping the orphanage’s children.  Members of the Carnival Splendor’s team regularly visit the facility during port calls to paint walls, clear debris and spend quality time with the children.

The support of the orphanage in Mazatlan continues efforts by Carnival employees, both shipboard and shoreside, in helping those less fortunate in the line’s homeport and port-of-call communities.

The 3,006-passenger Carnival Splendor sails from Long Beach, Calif., on year-round seven-day Mexican Riviera cruises to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas.
