Last week in New Orleans, Carnival’s Business Development Director for Louisiana Lori Goynes was presented with Executive Women International’s (EWI) 2010 Executive of the Year award. Goynes was recognized for her dedication to the organization and specifically for her efforts in membership development and fundraising.
Goynes, a 21-year Carnival veteran, has been business development director for Louisiana and Arkansas for the past 13 years. In this capacity, she works closely with area travel agents in promoting the “Fun Ship” vacation experience, including year-round departures from New Orleans aboard the Carnival Triumph which operates four-, five- and seven-day Caribbean cruises from that port. In fall 2011, Carnival will return capacity in New Orleans to pre-Hurricane Katrina levels with the deployment of the Carnival Conquest and Carnival Ecstasy.
