The comprehensive web site created for the launch of the new Carnival Magic (www.carnivalmagic.com) earned “Best of Show – Interactive English Site” in the recent AAF Miami 2011 Addy Awards competition.
Competing against other national corporations, the Carnival Magic site was honored for its interactive design features and insightful content that serve to highlight the many unique innovations available on the new 3,690-passenger vessel, set to debut from Europe May 1.
In addition to on-line videos showcasing Carnival Magic’s wide-ranging dining and entertainment options, the site served as the host for several on-line contests in which visitors could pen creative coaster sayings for the Caribbean-inspired RedFrog Pub, name a dish in the Cucina del Capitano Italian restaurant and create a moniker for the line’s first two-level miniature golf course.
Additionally, Carnival’s “Funville” on-line community (www.carnival.com/funville) also took home a Gold Addy for its diverse content that includes guest-driven message boards and cruise reviews, blogs from shipboard employees, on-line videos and numerous other features.
