In recognition of National Volunteer Week, Carnival Cruise Lines and its employees have been participating in a number of charitable endeavors, including creating care packages with fun items for youth cancer survivors who are participating in the American Cancer Society’s Rock Camp as pictured here.
Other events taking place this week include meal preparation for Camillus House, a homeless assistance center in downtown Miami, collecting pet food for the Humane Society, and collecting and distributing books, toiletries, non-perishable food and other items for military personnel serving overseas. A donation drive is also being organized for three South Florida nursing homes.
The National Volunteer Week activities are being led by Carnival’s “F.U.N. Team,” the company’s employee volunteer group that coordinates a wide variety of hands-on community service projects.
