Talk About a Milestone Cruise! Longtime Carnival Guest Celebrates 100th Birthday During 53rd ‘Fun Ship’ Cruise

Longtime Carnival fan Norman Wigle certainly knows how to celebrate as he marked his 100th birthday with a five-day western Caribbean cruise aboard the Carnival Triumph from New Orleans.

Not only did “Old Man Wigle” – as he likes to be called – become a centenarian during the voyage, he also sailed on his 53rd “Fun Ship” departure, which like many of his other cruises, was booked by Crown Adventures at Sea in New Orleans.

The New Orleans resident received the full VIP treatment from the Carnival Triumph team who went all out to make his 100th birthday truly memorable.   In addition to a special reception on the ship’s bridge hosted by Captain Angelo Los and his team of officers,  Old Man Wigle was the star of the guest talent show and, at the culmination of the event, he was serenaded by the 1,500 attendees who offered their heartfelt birthday wishes.

Congratulations Mr. Wigle and we hope to see you on the “Fun Ships” again soon.
