New Year’s Eve is always a festive time on the “Fun Ships” and this year was no different, as more than 64,000 revelers aboard the line’s 23 ships celebrated the arrival of 2012 in grand style. A mini-Times Square atmosphere was created on board as the champagne flowed and balloons rained down on guests at the stroke of midnight.   The following images from the Carnival Splendor illustrate all the fun and frivolity enjoyed by guests fleetwide as 2011 turned into 2012. Happy New Year!
