Ceremony Marks Carnival Magic’s First Call in Costa Maya

A reception was held on board the Carnival Magic to commemorate the ship’s first-ever call at Costa Maya, a scenic Mexican port that was featured on special six- and eight-day western Caribbean cruises from Galveston, Texas, over the Christmas/New Year’s period.

Pictured here at the festivities are (from left) Costa Maya Vice President Munir Tager, Carnival Magic Captain Stefano Battinelli, and Costa Maya Port Director Cesar Lizarraga.

The 3,690-passenger Carnival Magic launched year-round service from Galveston in November and expects to carry more than 200,000 passengers from the port in the coming year.
