Carnival Breeze, which departed yesterday on its maiden voyage from Venice, Italy, made its first-ever call at Dubrovnik earlier today, providing guests a full day to experience and explore the stunning Croatian town distinguished by its orange-roofed homes and quaint downtown lined with restaurants and boutiques.

Carnival Breeze’s inaugural 12-day voyage continues with a call at Athens, Greece; on Wednesday and Izmir, Turkey; on Thursday.  Other ports included on the 12-day sailing include Messina, Olbia, Civitavecchia (Rome), and Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy; Monaco, Monte Carlo; and Marseilles, France.

Following its inaugural voyage from Venice, Carnival Breeze will operate a summer schedule of 12-day Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona through Oct. 25, 2012 before sailing on a 15-day trans-Atlantic crossing from Barcelona to Miami, which will position the vessel for year-round six- and eight-day Caribbean departures beginning Nov. 24, 2012.
