On Your Mark, Get Set, Go! Camp Carnival Kids Hold Bike-A-Thon to Raise Money For St. Jude

Demonstrating that even the youngest members of the Carnival family are committed to giving back to their community, kids from the company’s on-site day care center at the Miami headquarters held a bike-a-thon to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the cruise line’s primary charitable partner.

Pedaling everything from tricycles and scooters to bikes with and without training wheels, the kids  raced around the playground while raising more than $200 for the fight against pediatric cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

The bike-a-thon is just the latest example of the company’s efforts to raise funds and awareness for the Memphis, Tenn.-based hospital.  Most recently, the company raised $2,300 through a cuddly bear sale for its shoreside employees that mirrored a similar activity held fleetwide.   These and other activities are part of Carnival’s goal of raising $3 million over a three-year period, primarily through Care to Play: Carnival For St. Jude Kids, which offers fun, interactive activities throughout the company’s 24-ship fleet.
