Following a 15-day trans-Atlantic crossing, Carnival Legend arrived in Barcelona this morning to launch its summer European schedule with a 12-day Mediterranean voyage departing this afternoon.

Today’s voyage kicks off Carnival’s most diverse European season ever, encompassing the line’s first Norwegian fjords voyage and its first extended program from the UK.

Carnival Legend’s 2013 European season runs April 22-Sept. 13 and includes 12-day voyages to Norway/Western Europe, the British Isles and the Baltic departing from Dover (London), along with 12-day Mediterranean cruises departing from Venice, Barcelona and Dover.

Following its European schedule, Carnival Legend will operate a one-of-a-kind 15-day trans-Atlantic crossing from London (Dover) to New York Sept. 25 - Oct. 10, 2013, calling at  Dublin, Ireland; Glasgow (Greenock), Scotland; Belfast (Northern Ireland); Reykjavik, Iceland; Qaqortoq, Greenland; and St. John’s, Newfoundland (Canada).

The ship will resume its regular seven-day western Caribbean rotation from Tampa beginning Nov. 3, 2013.
