Carnival Splendor docked at the Port of Boston for the first time this cruise season, part of a series of week-long fall foliage cruises from New York.  The popular itinerary also features day-long stops at Portland, Maine; Halifax, Nova Scotia; and Saint John New Brunswick.

To commemorate the season’s first call in Boston, a traditional maritime plaque exchange ceremony was held on board the Carnival Splendor during a turnaround day earlier this week.

Carnival Splendor will continue its four- to seven-day Canada/New England cruises through October then reposition to Miami to operate a winter schedule of seven-day Caribbean departures through May 2015 before returning to the Big Apple next spring.
