Carnival Cruise Lines has been recognized with three Travel Weekly 2014 Magellan Awards, earning top honors for its Olympics TV commercial “Bobslide,” the Moments That Matter trade marketing campaign, and Cruise Vacation Guide for travel agents. The annual awards acknowledge travel suppliers in a wide variety of product, service and marketing-related categories.
Created specifically for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, Carnival’s 30-second Bobslide commercial follows four young thrill-seekers who race together down one of the line’s popular waterslides “bobsled-style” with a sportscaster offering a play-by-play of their memorable run.
Featured in various print and online trade outlets, The Moments That Matter campaign is aimed at travel agents and modeled after the line’s consumer campaign that features actual vacation photos from past Carnival cruisers, all collected through social media. The trade campaign also included a tagline thanking travel agents for creating the moments that matter for the guests in the ads.
Designed as a helpful resource for travel agents, Carnival’s annual Cruise Vacation Guide provides an at-a-glance view of the line’s ships, itineraries and product features as well as helpful information to make working with Carnival as easy as possible.
