  Carnival Sunshine scored 100 during its recent United States Public Health (U.S.P.H.) inspection which took place at Port Canaveral, Fla.  Carnival Sunshine is the fifth Carnival ship to earn a perfect score this year. To earn a 100 score, cruise ships must receive perfect marks on all 44 items that comprise the U.S.P.H.’s comprehensive Vessel Sanitation Program checklist. The unannounced inspections, which are conducted twice a year and required for any cruise ship with an international itinerary calling at a U.S. port, evaluate vessels in a wide variety of areas, including adherence to proper food handling, preparation and storage procedures, and overall galley cleanliness. Building on its distinction as the Caribbean cruise leader, Carnival Cruise Line will reposition the 102,000-ton Carnival Victory on the line’s popular five-port, seven-day southern Caribbean cruise schedule from San Juan beginning in November 2016.   In a twist on popular bar trivia games, a new social media contest from Carnival Cruise Line invites fans to help create a fun and engaging card game to be played by patrons at Carnival Vista’s RedFrog Pub — the first in the fleet to feature an on-board brewery.   Carnival Cruise Line will build upon its leadership position in Port Canaveral, Fla., expanding capacity on three- and four-day Bahamas cruises by 34 percent and deploying its newest class of ship on seven-day Caribbean voyages in 2016. Carnival will enhance its short Bahamas cruise program from Port Canaveral with Carnival Victory replacing Carnival Sensation on this popular route in February 2016. The move not only increases capacity on the three- and four-day cruises but also provides guests with a greater variety of on-board features and amenities, including more than 500 balcony staterooms aboard Carnival Victory.   What happens when you give the youngest ship in the fleet a cell phone? Well, they join Snapchat!  That’s right, Carnival Vista (@MeetVista) is on the popular social media app and fans can follow the 133,500-ton ship as she starts to take shape at the Fincantieri shipyard in Trieste, Italy. The largest and most innovative ship in the Carnival fleet will be sharing snapstories of  exclusive content showing fans how she’s being put together one steel frame at a time leading up to the vessel’s May 1, 2016 debut.
