Carnival Vista has now moved to the wet dock at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy where construction continues in anticipation of the ship’s spring 2016 debut.
In today’s photo montage, prefabricated staterooms are being installed throughout the 133,500-ton vessel, the largest and most innovative Carnival ship ever constructed. In total, Carnival Vista will house 1,968 staterooms in a wide range of accommodation categories, from balcony staterooms to spa cabins to deluxe ocean view accommodations featuring two bathrooms and five berths – perfect for families.
Carnival Vista will also offer a number of unique features including a suspended cycling experience called SkyRide and the first IMAX Theatre on a cruise ship, as well as exciting food and beverage concepts like the New England-inspired Seafood Shack and the RedFrog Pub housing the line’s first on-board brewery.
Carnival Vista is set to debut in Europe May 1, 2016, and, following an inaugural Mediterranean cruise season, will reposition to New York for a pair of voyages before launching year-round Caribbean service from Miami in November 2016.
