  In the latest edition of Behind the Scenes: Carnival Vista, Host Peter Gonzalez goes below deck to show viewers the many technical and operational innovations that are being incorporated into the massive “floating resort,” which is currently under construction at Italy’s Fincantieri shipyard and set to debut from Europe in May 2016.   Carnival Inspiration is shown here at the Vigor Shipyard in Portland, Ore., during the final stages of an extensive multi-million-dollar dry dock that began January 18. Along with a number of new dining and bar concepts that are being added during the three-week-long renovation, the 2,052-passenger vessel was taken out of the water to undergo routine maintenance, including a new hull coating, as well as the addition of shore power capabilities.
