Carnival Cruise Line, Texas’ number one cruise operator, and the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, hosted a special day of fun, food and baseball this weekend at Dr Pepper Ballpark for hundreds of children and their families across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.  The third annual “Carnival Kids Day” was part of the cruise line’s multi-year partnership with the RoughRiders.

Children and families from a variety of charitable and social service organizations enjoyed an unforgettable day of fun, participating in a number of activities and interactions with RoughRider players.   In addition, every participant received complimentary game day tickets and parking.

The events featured in this year’s Kids Day included an inflatable batters’ box where kids could practice their swings, along with an inflatable slide resembling Carnival’s signature red, white and blue funnel.   Kids could also create larger-than-life bubbles and enjoy meet and greet and autograph opportunities with RoughRiders players.

As the Official Cruise Line of the Frisco RoughRiders, Carnival is hosting a number of activities throughout the 2016 season.  At each game, fans enjoy two special in-game promotions. Every time a RoughRider player hits a home run, fans hear the sound of a Carnival ship horn, fireworks launch from the iconic Carnival funnel in the outfield and celebratory graphics illuminate the LED signs around the stadium.

The Carnival Crush Inning promotion also takes place giving lucky contestants the chance to win a free Carnival cruise based on when a RoughRiders player gets a hit during a designated Crush Inning.  Fans can sign up for the promotion at the stadium or online before the game at RidersBaseball.com.  The cruise line also sponsors the Carnival Getaway Grill, featuring a variety of ballpark favorites and Dr Pepper products for one all-inclusive price.
