Carnival Cruise Line’s New 133,500-Ton Ship To Be Named Carnival Horizon

  Carnival Cruise Line announced today that Carnival Horizon will be the name of its new 133,500-ton ship scheduled to be delivered in March 2018. Currently under construction at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Marghera, Italy, Carnival Horizon will be the line’s second Vista-class ship, with the namesake vessel in the series, Carnival Vista, having entered service in May 2016. Carnival Horizon will offer many of the hugely popular indoor and outdoor dining, bar, entertainment and activity options available on Carnival Vista including SkyRide, the IMAX Theatre, WaterWorks aqua park, Seuss at Sea program in partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises and Alchemy Bar.   Carnival Cruise Line hosted its first-ever Summertime Beer-B-Que featuring mouth-watering barbecue from the new Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse – a new seagoing eatery developed by Carnival and Food Network star Guy Fieri – and samples of craft beers from top breweries from across the country. Reservations Now Open for Carnival Legend’s 2018 Alaska and Hawaii Cruises

  Reservations are now open for Carnival Cruise Line’s 2018 Alaska and Hawaii cruises, providing consumers with myriad opportunities to experience and explore these two breathtaking cruising regions. Carnival Legend’s 2018 Alaska program will encompass a series of 16 seven-day cruises operating round-trip from Seattle from May 8 to August 21, 2018.  Ports of call include Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, Alaska, as well as a full day cruising Tracy Arm Fjord and a day-long stop in Victoria, British Columbia. Carnival Elation Welcomes JAXPORT’S 2 Millionth Passenger

  North Carolina resident and first-time cruiser Carina Alejandro became the two millionth passenger to sail from the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal when she arrived for her four-day cruise aboard the Carnival Elation yesterday. Officials from JAXPORT and Carnival Elation Captain Gaetano Gigliotti were on hand to present Alejandro with a number of gifts, including a commemorative plaque. During her Carnival Elation cruise to the Bahamas, Alejandro, her young son and fiancé are receiving VIP treatment with a number of on-board courtesies. The cruise is also serving as a special occasion as her boss is getting married on board. Christian Deese Named Carnival Cruise Line’s Volunteer of the Year

  Christian Deese, a 10-year veteran of Carnival Cruise Line, has been named the company’s Volunteer of the Year, which acknowledges outstanding dedication and commitment to community service. Deese was recognized for his role in Carnival’s employee service group, the “Friends Uniting Neighbors (F.U.N.) Team,” donating his time to a variety of organizations, particularly the Bay Oaks Retirement Residence, the annual Hands On Miami community service event, and Camillus House, a homeless assistance shelter in downtown Miami.  In addition to presenting Deese with a plaque adorned with the company’s signature winged funnel, Carnival is making a $1,000 donation to the charity of his choice.
