Carnival Cruise Line’s recently revamped cruise search on carnival.com has received a Digiday Signal Award in the Best Sales Automation Tools & Platform Category. The redesign, named “Fun Voyage,” was completed by the Miami–based office of SapientNitro, a division of Publicis.Sapient.   Two new five-day itineraries – one visiting Mahogany Bay (Isla Roatan) and Cozumel and another featuring Key West and Cozumel – have been added to the Carnival Paradise’s year-round cruise schedule from Tampa, providing guests with even more exciting vacation choices from that port. Ten Mahogany Bay/Cozumel and six Key West/Cozumel voyages will be offered, departing on Saturdays throughout 2017.  The new five-day cruises are part of the line’s new Cozumel Plus program that provides guests with additional time in port and features a variety of unique shore excursions – swimming with whale sharks, visiting centuries-old ruins and swimming in hidden caverns, among others —  offered both on the island and within mainland Mexico. Carnival Corporation Chairman Micky Arison and his wife Madeleine have matched the $250,000 donation made recently by Carnival Cruise Line and parent company Carnival Corporation to aid organizations assisting victims of the Louisiana floods. The additional $250,000 donation was made through the Micky and Madeleine Arison Family Foundation and raises the total contribution from Carnival Cruise-related organizations to half-a-million dollars. Recipients of the $500,000 total gift include the American Red Cross, Louisiana Association of United Ways and Save the Children. “Recognizing the tremendous magnitude of this disaster and the Carnival organization’s long-standing partnership with the state of Louisiana, Madeleine and I felt strongly in our desire to provide additional support to organizations aiding in the flood relief efforts,” said Micky…

              Carnival Cruise Line and its parent company, Carnival Corporation, are giving a total of $250,000 to charitable organizations to support their efforts on behalf of victims of the Louisiana floods. The cruise line is donating $125,000 and its parent company is matching that amount through its Carnival Foundation charitable arm. Recipients include the American Red Cross, Louisiana Association of United Ways and Save the Children.   Taking Carnival Cruise Line’s signature “towel animals” to a whole new level, Carnival Magic’s housekeeping team has created what is believed to be the cruise industry’s first “towel people” who are shown here relaxing on Lido Deck. “Towel people” are a new concept that builds upon the incredible popularity of the line’s fleetwide “towel animals” which greet Carnival guests as they return to their staterooms each night. Creating dozens of “towel people” takes several hours to construct and this entertaining collection of terrycloth men, women and children surprise Carnival Magic’s guests when they head to breakfast on Lido Deck.

  Classification society Lloyd’s Register has bestowed the “ECO Notation” designation on the new Carnival Vista, marking the first Carnival Cruise Line ship to achieve this distinction. The notation recognizes that the cruise line designed, built and operates Carnival Vista in a manner that exceeds current maritime statutory environmental regulations. Lloyd’s Register (LR) established a set of voluntary standards that vessels can seek to achieve that exceed regulations established by the International Maritime Organization and other national and international regulatory agencies. Vessels seeking the ECO Notation must comply with a set of rules established by LR that govern ship design as well as pass LR’s surveys and audits during the construction process and once the ship is in service. “Achieving…
