Carnival Cruise Line Makes the Holidays Brighter for Children and Their Families

  Carnival Cruise Line and its employees did their part in making the holidays a little brighter for children and families in their homeport and port of call communities. Shipboard employees throughout the fleet did their part, collecting and donating thousands of toys to needy children throughout the Caribbean as part of the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association’s annual toy drive while employees at Carnival’s Miami headquarters participated in the annual Angel Tree program toy collection drive sponsored by the Salvation Army.   Carnival’s global contact center in Miramar, Fla., also raised more than $85,000 for various organizations, including Kids in Distress (KID), fulfilling holiday wishes for 76 KID families and donating $25,000 in cash to KID to use toward their ongoing…

Carnival Cruise Line Now Accepts PayPal

Carnival Cruise Line has officially joined the 15 million global active merchant accounts that accept PayPal as a digital payment method, providing an easy and convenient payment option from any device.  With PayPal, consumers can securely choose whichever payment method they prefer to use to make purchases, whether it is a credit card, debit card, bank account or PayPal balance – it’s their choice. Now PayPal can be used by guests when making an initial deposit or when paying for their cruise in full.  In addition to PayPal, Carnival Cruise Line accepts all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diner’s Club, and MasterPass. Traditional First Call Ceremony Held to Commemorate Carnival Valor’s Arrival in Galveston

    A first call function was held on board Carnival Valor to commemorate the ship’s arrival at the Port of Galveston this weekend.  The event was highlighted by a traditional maritime plaque exchange between Carnival Valor Captain Rocco Lubrano and Port of Galveston Director Michael J. Mierzwa celebrating the launch of the ship’s year-round four- and five-day cruises to Mexico. On its new schedule, Carnival Valor departs the Port of Galveston Thursdays on four-day cruises to Cozumel and on Mondays and Saturdays on five-day voyages to Cozumel and Progreso.

  Carnival Cruise Line earned ‘Best Domestic Cruise Line’ honors at the 14th annual Travel Weekly Readers Choice Awards which were presented last night in New York. The awards recognize travel industry suppliers who led the way in product and service during the past year.   Travel Weekly readers were invited to write in the names of any company they believed best exemplified that particular category. More than 15,000 votes were cast with Carnival Cruise Line receiving more votes in the ‘Best Domestic Cruise Line’ category than any other cruise operator. Carnival Cruise Line names Taylor Bux Vice President of Marketing Services

  Carnival Cruise Line has appointed Taylor Bux vice president of marketing services.  In this capacity, he is responsible for consumer public relations, brand experience and grassroots marketing, social media and branded content as well as advertising and creative services. Bux will report directly to Kathy Mayor, chief marketing officer for Carnival Cruise Line. Bux joins Carnival from Old Navy/Gap, Inc. where he served as global director of digital and social media marketing. In that role, he was responsible for all digital, social and mobile marketing for the Old Navy brand as well as data and analytics and online brand communications. New 133,500-Ton Vista Class Ship to Join Carnival Cruise Line Fleet In 2019

  A new 133,500-ton cruise ship, which will be the third vessel in the company’s Vista class series, will join the Carnival Cruise Line fleet in late 2019.  The ship, under contract with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, was originally designated for the P&O Cruises Australia brand. In conjunction with this change, Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Splendor will be transferred to P&O Cruises Australia in late 2019. The ship will offer many of Carnival’s most popular guest features, a wide range of accommodation types and a number of new innovations unique to this vessel.  The ship’s name, homeport and itinerary details will be announced at a later date. “We are truly thrilled to have another Vista class ship joining our fleet,” said…
