  Carnival Sensation has undergone a multi-million-dollar renovation and emerged with a variety of popular food and beverage concepts, as well as a new nautical-themed children’s play area.   Carnival Cruise Line has expanded its popular Carnival Journeys enrichment cruise series with 13 new 12- to 14-day seagoing adventures departing from homeports along the East and West Coasts and the Gulf of Mexico in 2018 and 2019.   Following the history-making launch of cruises from the U.S. to Cuba on Carnival Corporation’s Fathom brand last year, the company’s namesake and largest cruise brand — Carnival Cruise Line — has now received approval to sail to Cuba.  The Cuban capital of Havana will be added to select Carnival Paradise voyages from Tampa beginning in June 2017.   The New Orleans-based Carnival Dream recently completed an extensive makeover that added a variety of exciting food and beverage concepts. Following the renovation, which took place in Freeport, The Bahamas, the 130,000-ton ship yesterday resumed its year-round schedule of seven-day Caribbean cruises from the Big Easy.   Carnival Cruise Line has announced that the new Carnival Horizon will offer a series of four-day Bermuda cruises from New York in spring and summer 2018, part of the ship’s inaugural season that includes previously announced voyages to Europe from Barcelona and the Caribbean from New York and Miami.   Proving that Carnival employees will do just about anything for a good cause, Regional Vice President – Trade Sales Eastern US and Caribbean Kirk Neal and Business Development Directors Kathy Donnelly, Grace Ambrosia and Christine Schultz were among the thousands of individuals who braved the icy waters of Chesapeake Bay as part of the annual Polar Bear Plunge benefiting Maryland Special Olympics.   Several of Carnival’s travel agent partners joined in the day of cold weather fun. Carnival Cruise Line Named ‘Best Cruise Line – LGBTQ’ at Annual Travvy Awards

  Carnival Cruise Line earned the Gold Award for “Best Cruise Line – LGBTQ” in the annual Travvy Awards, held last week in New York.  Sponsored by travAlliancemedia, the awards are voted on by travel professionals who recognize travel suppliers in a wide range of product and service related categories.  Carnival also earned Silver Awards for Best Cruise Ship (Carnival Vista) and Best Cruise Line – Caribbean/Bahamas. Carnival Corporation has also been recognized for the third consecutive year among top companies as a best place to work for LGBTQ equality by the Human Rights campaign.
