  Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, the 133,500-ton Carnival Horizon, will be the first in the fleet to feature Dr. Seuss WaterWorks, a vibrant water park inspired by the whimsical world and words of the legendary children’s author.  The 3,934-passenger vessel is set to debut in Europe April 2, 2018. Carnival Imagination will serve as the venue for the first-ever “Carnival Playtime” event featuring fun activities and games inspired by the MY LITTLE PONY and TRANSFORMERS brands.“Carnival Playtime” will take place on three- and four-day voyages of the Carnival Imagination departing Long Beach July 13 to September 17.   For the second consecutive year, Carnival Cruise Line has earned both the Program Innovator Award and Green Gateway Partners Award from the Port of Seattle, honoring the cruise line’s commitment to environmental stewardship. The award was recently presented at the Port of Seattle’s Cruise Annual All Agency Pre-Season Reception held at the World Trade Center on the Seattle waterfront. New Pop-Up Sushi Venues Added to Four Carnival Cruise Line Ships

  Following the success of Bonsai Sushi restaurants on several ships, Carnival Cruise Line has rolled out new pop-up sushi venues on four ships – Carnival Conquest, Carnival Valor, Carnival Liberty and Carnival Glory. The stand-alone eateries are located on Lido Deck and offer variety of sushi, sashimi and rolls on an a la carte basis.  Diners place their order at the counter, given a pager, and then paged when their food is ready. Sushi and sashimi, including Ebi (shrimp), Sake (salmon), Maguro (tuna) and Hamachi (amberjack), are available for $1.50 per piece.  California Rolls and Spicy Tuna Rolls are offered at $5 per roll, with Bang Bang Bonsai Roll and Tempura Roll available at $7.50 each.   Carnival Cruise Line Brand Ambassador John Heald delighted and entertained an audience of several hundred military personnel, military families and supporters of Operation Homefront as the official emcee of the 2017 Military Child of the Year Awards held recently in Washington, D.C.     Carnival Cruise Line marked the beginning of a multimillion-dollar renovation of its Long Beach Cruise Terminal facility to accommodate larger ships and enhance terminal operations. A “FUNstruction” groundbreaking ceremony today included remarks by City of Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia, President and CEO of Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau Steve Goodling and Carnival Cruise Line Vice President Strategic and Commercial Port Development Carlos Torres de Navarra among others. Carnival unveiled its design plans for the terminal during the celebration. The renovation will increase the space Carnival currently occupies in the terminal facility from approximately 66,000 square feet to 142,000 square feet. Hosted by Carnival’s Vice President of Sales & Trade Marketing Adolfo Perez and the line’s sales leadership team, the tour encompasses events featuring one-on-one meetings between agents and Carnival sales team members, marketing and product experiences and a variety of engaging entertainment activities.   When Bernard and Janice Caffary boarded the Carnival Liberty last week, they stepped into the record books, becoming the first guests to ever sail on 200 cruises with Carnival Cruise Line. What’s even more remarkable is that the Caffarys achieved this feat in just 15 years, meaning that the couple averages nearly 15 cruises a year with Carnival, making them among the most loyal guests at sea. Overall the Caffarys have spent a whopping 878 days – more than two and a half years –aboard Carnival Cruise Line ships.  And the fun isn’t going to stop any time soon as the couple has another 30 cruises booked with the line.
