Carnival Elation to Operate Unique Eight-Day Cruise from Jacksonville Featuring Visits to Bermuda and The Bahamas in April 2018

Carnival Elation will offer a unique cruise vacation option from Jacksonville next spring – an eight-day voyage that visits scenic ports in both Bermuda and The Bahamas.  The voyage will operate round-trip from Jacksonville April 7-15, 2018, and will feature an overnight call in Heritage Wharf, Bermuda, as well as an extended stay at the private Bahamian island of Half Moon Cay.

During the call in Bermuda, guests can relax on the island’s legendary pink beaches, enjoy snorkeling, kayaking and other water sports, and visit landmarks such as Royal Naval Dockyard and Gibb’s Hill Lighthouse, the oldest cast iron lighthouse in the Western Hemisphere.   Half Moon Cay is a crescent-shaped island that boasts gorgeous white-sand beaches, a pirate-themed water park, private cabanas and shore excursions that include paddle-boarding, biking and more.

Including the newly added cruise on the Carnival Elation from Jacksonville, in the coming year Carnival Cruise Line will offer 19 four- to eight-day Bermuda departing from six East Coast U.S. ports, including New York, Baltimore, Charleston, Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale.

Carnival Elation will also offer a special three-port, six-day Bahamas cruise round-trip from Jacksonville April 15-21, 2018, visiting visit Freeport, Nassau and Half Moon Cay.

The new voyages complement the ship’s year-round four- and five-day schedule from Jacksonville.  Carnival Elation is Jacksonville’s only year-round ship and carries approximately 170,000 passengers annually from that port.
