  For this year’s Alaska season, Carnival Cruise Line has introduced a number of fun new activities and programming to make voyages to the Last Frontier even more special and memorable.  Carnival’s 2017 Alaska season kicked off this week and runs through September with seven-day voyages departing from Seattle aboard Carnival Legend.   Comedy legend Jay Leno had audiences rolling in the aisles with two sold-out performances aboard Carnival Vista and Carnival Victory, part of the Carnival LIVE Concert Series.  The former Tonight Show host performed a 90-minute show each night while the ships were docked in Cozumel, Mexico. Carnival LIVE brings the best in comedy and music to the seas, with top-name acts performing in the ships’ main show lounge, meaning there’s never a bad seat in the house.  Upcoming Carnival LIVE performances include popular comedian Jeff Foxworthy and country music stars Little Big Town.  Additional information is available at www.carnival.com/carnivallive.

  Carnival Cruise Line is now offering guests an opportunity to pre-purchase Wi-Fi packages on carnival.com prior to their cruise.  The pre-purchase option is currently available on two ships – Carnival Vista and Carnival Fascination – with fleetwide rollout expected by mid-summer. With this convenient new option, fully booked guests can select from Carnival’s popular social, value and premium Wi-Fi packages through the “manage my booking” tab on carnival.com.  Guests must purchase an Internet package that covers the entire duration of their cruise when purchasing online.  Daily packages are available for purchase once on board. Officials from Carnival Cruise Line and the Bahamian government signed an agreement today during a special signing ceremony in Freeport, Grand Bahama, for the construction of a new cruise port facility to be funded and operated by Carnival Cruise Line on Grand Bahama Island. The as-yet-unnamed planned port will be the largest purpose-built cruise facility ever constructed in The Bahamas and will take inspiration from the beauty of the Bahamian people and their islands. Features will include a one-mile stretch of beach, food, beverage and shopping outlets, a wide array of water-based amenities and other recreational facilities.   Two exciting new food and beverage offerings – the Guy Fieri-designed Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse and cocktail pharmacy-themed Alchemy Bar – have been added to the Carnival Breeze following a recent refurbishment that took place in Freeport, The Bahamas.
