  Terry Riley of Forsyth, Ga., is the winner of Carnival Cruise Line’s 10th annual PokerPro Challenge held recently on Carnival Dream, capturing the top prize of $75,000 cash. Riley beat out more than 500 other entrants on board who competed in a series of Texas Hold’em card games utilizing state-of-the-art electronic PokerPro tables from Jackpot Digital. In addition to the cash prize, Riley received a commemorative winner’s bracelet and, as the 10th anniversary winner, was awarded a coveted seat, including the $10,000 buy-in, at the World Series of Poker Main Event, the largest and most prestigious poker tournaments in the world, all courtesy of Carnival Riley said that winning the PokerPro Challenge was a highlight of his poker-playing career…

  Popular comedian Chris Tucker performed two sold-out shows while Carnival Liberty and Carnival Breeze were docked in Nassau as part of the Carnival LIVE concert series. Carnival Fascination Delivers Food, Water and Other Relief Supplies to Island of Barbuda

  During a port call in Antigua, Carnival Fascination dropped off pallets of water, food, and other items to be delivered to Barbuda as part of the island’s recovery and relief efforts.   The delivery is part an ongoing initiative by Carnival to bring critical supplies to affected Caribbean islands following Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria.  Earlier this month, Carnival Fascination dropped off relief items during a port call in St. Kitts to be delivered to St. Maarten which was affected by the storm.   Continuing Carnival Cruise Line’s hurricane relief efforts, Carnival Fascination delivered pallets of critical supplies, including water, canned food and other items, during a port call in St. Kitts to be delivered to the island of St. Maarten which has been impacted by the storm.  The donation was made during Carnival Fascination’s current seven-day cruise from San Juan. Carnival Corporation & plc, the Miami HEAT Charitable Fund, and the Micky and Madeleine Arison Family Foundation are pledging up to $10 million in funding and in-kind support for relief and rebuilding efforts in Florida and throughout the Caribbean following Hurricane Irma. Carnival’s Hurricane Relief Efforts

Carnival is the Caribbean’s largest cruise operator, carrying millions of passengers to dozens of destinations in the region, the vast majority of which were unaffected by the storms. As of September 14, we are back to our regular cruise rotation, with very limited impact to our upcoming itineraries. Each and every day our ships are carrying some 60,000 guests sailing to beautiful ports of call within The Bahamas and Caribbean region. Only four ports have not reopened at this time: St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Grand Turk and Key West. We look forward to returning to these ports as soon as they are ready to receive cruise guests. We will continue to maintain all of our eastern, southern and western Caribbean…

Hurricane Irma Update – Sept. 13, 2017 – 11:30 AM ET

Carnival Cruise Line has launched a comprehensive and wide-ranging humanitarian relief effort to destinations affected by Hurricane Irma, with 11 of its ships making 36 deliveries throughout the region during upcoming cruises. Delivery of supplies has begun on both an immediate and sustained, longer-term basis. A wide variety of items, including food, water, clothing, toiletries and medical supplies, are scheduled to be delivered over the next several weeks to destinations that include Grand Turk, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, St. Kitts and Key West, as part of our ongoing cruise itineraries.
