The kids at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, had a special visitor this holiday season – none other than The Grinch himself who made an appearance as part of the first-ever Grinchmas festivities hosted by Carnival Cruise Line, the hospital’s Official Celebration Partner.

The appearance by the cantankerous curmudgeon was part of a day-long celebration which included Dr. Seuss-themed arts and crafts, photo opportunities, snacks, and a Good Deed Tracker with a list of good deed suggestions to allow them to, just like The Grinch famously says, grow their heart “three times its size.”   Each child also received their own copy of the Dr. Seuss classic “How The Grinch Stole Christmas.”

The Grinchmas festivities were just the latest in-hospital events organized by Carnival which also hosts the annual St. Jude Day of Play and provides entertainment for the St. Jude Prom.

Carnival has been a proud supporter of St. Jude since 2010 and over the past seven years has raised more than $13 million through various shipboard and shoreside fundraising efforts, including its Care to Play:  Carnival for St. Jude Kids activities hosted fleetwide.
