  A traditional keel-laying ceremony was held at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy, for Carnival Cruise Line’s third 133,500-ton Vista-class ship, Carnival Panorama, which is scheduled to enter service in November 2019. The ceremony, which dates back hundreds of years, signifies the official start of construction of a seagoing vessel. Carnival Panorama will offer many of the popular innovations and features introduced on Carnival Vista which debuted in May 2016.  The second in the series, Carnival Horizon, is scheduled to enter service April 2, 2018. Additional design details, as well as homeport and itinerary information for Carnival Panorama, will be announced at a later date.

Carnival Cruise Line returned to the island of St. Thomas with a day-long call by the Carnival Glory earlier today. The visit is the first of dozens of port calls by Carnival ships to the tropical Caribbean destination in the coming weeks. During today’s call, more than 3,400 guests aboard Carnival Glory enjoyed St. Thomas’ world-class beaches and shopping as well as visits to a variety of local landmarks and attractions. Next week, Carnival resumes calls to the island of St. Maarten with a visit by Carnival Sunshine.

  Carnival Cruise Line has announced the names of the four craft beers that will be brewed aboard the new Carnival Horizon which is set to debut in Europe April 2, 2018. The refreshing new brews were developed by Carnival’s expert brewmaster Colin Presby and will be offered at Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse|Brewhouse, a new dining concept that combines the best of both worlds – an onboard brewery and a full-service restaurant featuring “real deal” BBQ favorites and sides developed by Food Network star Guy Fieri, a member of the American Royal National Barbecue Hall of Fame.
