Carnival Cruise Line’s 3,690-passenger Carnival Breeze was named Best Ship for Families and earned Best Shore Excursion Honors in Cruise Critic’s Annual Cruisers Choice Awards, which recognizes cruise lines in a wide range of product- and service-related categories.

Carnival Breeze was recognized for its superior family-friendly amenities, which includes fun, supervised programs for kids in three age groups (2-11, 12-14, and 15-17), along with the popular Seuss at Sea program operated exclusively with Dr. Seuss Enterprises.   Other kid-pleasing features on Carnival Breeze include a spectacular WaterWorks aqua park, a SportSquare open-air recreation area and the multi-dimension Thrill Theater.  The ship also offers extra-roomy accommodations featuring two bathrooms and five berths and family-style dining options like the Cucina del Capitano Italian restaurant.

The ship’s wide range of shore excursion choices were also honored.   During its seven-day cruises from Galveston, Carnival Breeze visits some of the Caribbean’s beautiful destinations, including Belize, Mahogany Bay (Roatan), Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Costa Maya, providing guests with an opportunity to relax on world-class beaches, explore centuries-old ruins and other historical landmarks, savor local cuisine and enjoy diverse cultural opportunities.   Adventurous excursions like zipling, cave-tubing and off-road ATV tours are also offered.

Carnival Breeze currently operates week-long Caribbean adventures from Galveston and will reposition to Port Canaveral, Fla., this fall to launch year-round Caribbean departures.
