Carnival Cruise Line Salutes Military Couples Aboard Carnival Miracle At Port Tampa Bay

  Let the battle begin!  Carnival Cruise Line today announced that Jake Elliott, kicker for the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, and Queen Latifah, Grammy-award winning musical artist, acclaimed actress and godmother of the new Carnival Horizon, will face off in a special edition of Lip Sync Battle as part of the ship’s naming ceremony. Carnival Cruise Line Names Lars Ljoen to Head Marine Operations

  Carnival Cruise Line announced today that it has appointed Lars Ljoen as its new executive vice president of marine operations. Ljoen is currently the executive vice president and managing director of Carnival Maritime, the marine service unit of the Costa Group in Hamburg, Germany. Ljoen will be responsible for overseeing all of Carnival Cruise Line’s marine operations, including nautical and technical operations, environmental compliance and safety. Carnival Cruise Line Announces Slate of Senior Officers for New Carnival Panorama

  With its spectacular new West Coast ship already open for sale and taking reservations, Carnival Cruise Line has named its senior leadership team for the Carnival Panorama, scheduled to enter service in 2019. Currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy, Carnival Panorama will be based in Long Beach, Calif. – the line’s first new ship homeported on the West Coast in 20 years. Operation Homefront is the national non-profit that builds strong, stable and secure military families and organizes the annual awards event.  A Military Child of the Year is chosen by each branch of the military based on resilience and strength of character, thriving within the challenges of military life as well as leadership within their families and their communities.   Carnival Horizon is on the final leg of its 13-day inaugural voyage from Barcelona, captivating its 4,200-plus guests along the way with visits to stunning European ports like Dubrovnik, Malta and Corfu, as well as new features and attractions, including the first-ever Dr. Seuss water park, Smokehouse Brewhouse with “real deal” barbeque favorites created by Food Network star and longtime Carnival partner Guy Fieri, and the line’s first teppanyaki venue. The 13-day inaugural cruise kicked off the ship’s European season that runs through May.  Following its Mediterranean voyages, Carnival Horizon will reposition to New York for a summer schedule of four-day Bermuda and eight-day Caribbean cruises then launch year-round six- and eight-day Caribbean sailings from Miami in September.
