Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, Carnival Horizon, makes its U.S. debut in New York May 23 and, to celebrate, the line has created an engaging musical production designed to showcase all the spectacular features and activities the new ship has to offer, Broadway-style.
The toe-tapping Carnival Horizon: The Musical was directed by Bold Man and the Sea Media and choreographed by Keith Young who has worked on numerous television shows, theatrical revues, commercials and major motion pictures.
Carnival Horizon: The Musical follows the ship’s Playlist Productions performers as they sing and dance their way across different venues of the ship, from the Dr. Seuss water park and atrium with its striking Dreamscape sculpture to the teppanyaki venue, Smokehouse Brewhouse restaurant and casino, bringing the spaces to life in a fun and lively way.
Carnival Horizon makes its U.S. debut May 23 with a VIP invitation-only pierside overnight in New York featuring a naming ceremony with godmother Queen Latifah who will also square off in a special version of Lip Sync Battle: Horizon against Jake Elliott of the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
The ship then embarks on a summer schedule of four-day Bermuda and eight-day Caribbean voyages May 24 from New York before repositioning to Miami for year-round six- and eight-day Caribbean sailings in September.
