    Carnival Cruise Line – which carries more active and retired military personnel than any other cruise operator – last night partnered with Operation Homefront to honor the brave men and women of the Armed Forces to host “Humor for Heroes” at Naval Base Point Loma in San Diego featuring stand-up comedy performances, BBQ, fun activities and more. Carnival Cruise Line today announced that it will return to the Port of San Diego for the first time in seven years when Carnival Miracle arrives in late 2019. Carnival Miracle will operate a winter schedule of three- to 15-day voyages from San Diego from December 2019 to February 2020.  The schedule kicks off with a seven-day cruise to the Mexican Riviera departing Dec. 1, 2019, and also includes two longer-length Carnival Journeys voyages – 14- and 15-day Hawaii adventures visiting popular destinations throughout the Aloha State departing Dec. 8, 2019 and Jan. 17, 2020, respectively. Carnival Elation Wins TravelAge West WAVE Award for Best Refurbished Ship

Carnival Elation came home a big winner on June 15 for Best Refurbished Ship (ocean-going) at the TravelAgeWest WAVE Awards. The ship underwent a multi-million dollar renovation in October 2017 that included the addition of 38 new staterooms, 98 balconies to existing staterooms, and a variety of popular and exciting food and beverage concepts. Regina Walker Named Carnival Cruise Line’s ‘Volunteer of the Year’

Regina Walker, who currently serves as co-chair of Carnival Cruise Line’s employee-driven volunteer service group, the Friends Uniting Neighbors (F.U.N.) Team, has been named the company’s Volunteer of the Year. A 34-year veteran of Carnival Cruise Line, Walker was honored for her exemplary efforts at helping our community, donating nearly 120 hours to a variety of local social service agencies and charitable organizations, including Ronald McDonald House, Miami Children’s Museum, Miami Dolphins Cancer Challenge, Humane Society Walk for Animals, Mourning Family Foundation, Kids in Distress and Children’s Harbor.  She participated in a number of beach clean-up activities, as well. Carnival Cruise Line Announces That Carnival Spirit Will Sail Year-Round From Brisbane

  Carnival Cruise Line, the world’s largest cruise line, announced Carnival Spirit will become the brand’s first ever ship to home port in Brisbane. The announcement follows the ACCC’s approval of a new cruise ship terminal in Brisbane. Rated as Australia’s favourite year-round cruise ship by members of Cruise Critic, Carnival Spirit will arrive into her new home in 2020. She will sail year-round from Brisbane to the stunning tropical archipelagos of Vanuatu and New Caledonia, as well as offer shorter cruises to well-loved destinations in North Queensland. Carnival Elation Hosts Day of Fun for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jacksonville

  Continuing Carnival Cruise Line’s support of its homeport communities, Carnival Elation hosted nearly two dozen mentors and mentees from the Jacksonville chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters, the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network whose mission is to make meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”) and develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. During their time on board, the “Bigs” and their “Littles” enjoyed a delicious lunch in the Carnival Elation’s main dining room followed by a tour of the recently renovated 70,000-ton ship.
