Guy Fieri’s Family Vacation Featured in Fun Video on Carnival.com

The seagoing adventures of Food Network star and longtime Carnival partner Guy Fieri – whose wildly popular burger and barbecue venues are a staple throughout the Carnival Cruise Line fleet – are showcased in a fun online video feature within the line’s web site, carnival.com. Fieri brought along nearly 50 of his relatives – some of which he hadn’t seen in years – sailing aboard Carnival Vista for six days of fun, family and, of course, food. The tantalizing new choices – called Alchemy Bar Snacks – include a trio of oysters with mignonette, roasted berries and pickled scallion, Ahi Poke with whipped avocado, sesame, koshihikari rice and ponzu wakame, Crispy Shrimp with sriracha aioli and chive dressing and a Smoked Brisket Slider with parmesan truffle fries.  Each dish is $4. Carnival Cruise Line – which carries more military personnel and their families than any other cruise operator – has been presented with the prestigious U.S. Honor Flag bestowed by the Miami-Dade Police Department Honor Guard in recognition of its tremendous support of the brave men and women of the U.S. armed forces. Carnival is the first cruise company to receive this honor. The U.S. Honor Flag flew over Ground Zero following the Sept. 11 attacks and since then has traveled 7 million miles, flying on the space shuttle Atlantis, and over the Pentagon, state capitols, presidential libraries, state and national memorials as well as funerals and tributes to fallen soldiers, police officers and first responders. Nexion Travel Group honored Carnival Cruise Line with its 2018 Supplier Humanitarian of the Year Award during the host agency’s 2018 CoNexion Conference Sept. 23. It was the first year the new humanitarian award was presented, and it recognizes a Nexion Preferred Supplier Partner that has gone above and beyond assisting those in need as a result of natural disasters, as well as a company that actively contributes to poverty alleviation, sustainable tourism, cultural heritage preservation and other philanthropic endeavors. This past weekend, Carnival Breeze and Carnival Magic launched year-round programs from Port Canaveral and Miami, respectively, providing seagoing vacationers with new, exciting choices in two convenient Florida homeports. Carnival Breeze kicked off its new Port Canaveral-based program with a special six-day cruise to Nassau, Amber Cove and Grand Turk that departed Sept. 30, to be followed by the launch of year-round seven-day alternating eastern and western Caribbean cruises on Oct. 6.  These week-long voyages depart every Saturday with eastern Caribbean itineraries visiting Amber Cove, St. Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turk.  Western Caribbean voyages feature Cozumel, Belize, Mahogany Bay and Costa Maya, part of Carnival’s exclusive Cozumel Plus itineraries offering extended stays in Cozumel and a variety of attractive…

Leave it to Carnival Cruise Line to take Halloween to the next level with its “Frightfully Fun” festivities taking place during all sailings throughout the month of October. The month-long “spook-tacular” is highlighted by the debut of Patch the Pumpkin Pirate, a colorful swashbuckling seafarer who towers 12 feet tall and greets guests as they board each ship.  Kids can gather around Patch as they enjoy Scary Story Time hosted by the cruise director. To mark the start of Choose Cruise Month, Cruise Lines International’s annual monthlong consumer awareness campaign, Carnival Cruise Line is offering low fares, stateroom category upgrades and an early-booking bonus. Travelers who #ChooseCruise and #ChooseFun with Carnival can qualify for low per-person rates of $259 on select two- to five-day cruises and $469 on select cruises of six days or longer through December 2019 if booked by Oct. 31, 2018. Reservations made during Choose Cruise Month also qualify for free two-category upgrades.
