Continuing its ongoing support of its port-of-call communities, Carnival Cruise Line has partnered with U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Education (VIDE) to host a workshop for 20 music students aboard the Carnival Fascination while it was docked in St. Thomas earlier this week. Following a backstage tour, students from the University of the Virgin Islands and four high schools in the area participated in a day-long workshop where they met with the ship’s performers and musicians to learn first-hand about careers in the music and entertainment industries. The day culminated in a lively jam session that provided students an opportunity to hone their craft playing alongside musicians from the Carnival Fascination. Carnival Panorama to Feature First Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park and Challenge Zone at Sea

When Carnival Panorama debuts in December 2019, it will introduce the first-ever indoor trampoline park and challenge zone at sea, in partnership with industry leader, Sky Zone. Located on Decks 7 and 8, the expansive two-deck-high facility encompasses more than 3,000 square feet, providing high-flying fun for guests of all ages across a 12-lane trampoline court.  Adjacent to the trampoline court will be a challenge zone equipped with a climbing wall, balance/jousting beam, Sky Ladder climbing apparatus and Tug of War. Sky Zone will serve as the venue for a variety of activities that appeal to both the young and young at heart, including gravity-defying dodgeball games and above-the-rim basketball experiences where guests can become slam-dunk stars. Carnival Cruise Line – The World’s Most Popular Cruise Line® – will kick off its 2019 West Coast expansion plans on New Year’s Day with its first-ever float in the world-famous Rose Parade as part of a year-long celebration of its first new ship to homeport in California in 20 years that will arrive in December 2019. Carnival Cruise Line Kicks Off St. Jude Thanks and Giving® Campaign

Building upon its longstanding support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® that includes a variety of fundraising activities both on board and ashore throughout the year, Carnival Cruise Line is participating in the hospital’s Thanks and Giving® campaign for the seventh consecutive year. During St. Jude Thanks and Giving®, Carnival guests will have the opportunity to make a donation toward St. Jude via their Sail & Sign card. Guests on board will also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of Care to Play activities designed to raise funds and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. Carnival Cruise Line Earns Three Porthole Cruise Magazine’s Readers’ Choice Awards

Carnival Cruise Line earned three Porthole Cruise Magazine Readers Choice Awards, earning top honors in the Best Value for the Money, Cruise Director and Computer Facilities categories. Award winners were determined by thousands of readers of Porthole Cruise Magazine, who voted for their favorites in 51 categories. Carnival Cruise Line reaffirmed its place as the leader of innovation in the U.S. cruise industry today as the first steel was cut for the line’s newest class of ship and the new livery was revealed for the 180,000-ton XL vessel that will be the first-ever ship operating in North America to use liquefied natural gas (LNG). The traditional steel-cutting ceremony held at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Turku, Finland, signified the official start of construction of the largest Carnival cruise ship ever constructed, to be delivered in 2020.  A second XL ship will start construction in 2020 and be delivered in 2022 to mark the 50th anniversary of Carnival Cruise Line’s founding. Carnival Cruise Line today announced the diverse inaugural schedule for the totally transformed Carnival Radiance, including 9- to 13-day European voyages, the line’s first to Cuba from New York and Norfolk, four- to nine-day sailings to the Caribbean, Canada/New England from New York, and a winter season of voyages to the Caribbean and Cuba from Port Canaveral, Fla. Carnival Cruise Line made a big splash at Travel Weekly’s CruiseWorld, Nov. 7-9, 2018, at the Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center. The annual conference and exhibition was staged by Northstar Travel Media, parent company of the Travel Weekly branded publications. Carnival Cruise Line announced today that the totally transformed Carnival Radiance will be the first cruise ship to feature “Big Chicken,” a seagoing version of a new restaurant created by the line’s Chief Fun Officer, NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal. The menu will feature a mouth-watering variety of fried chicken sandwiches and fries, with flavors to match Shaq’s larger than life personality, all free of charge. Carnival Spirit Sets Sail for Alaska and Hawaii in 2020

Carnival Cruise Line today announced that Carnival Spirit will operate its 2020 Alaska and Hawaii programs, replacing Carnival Legend which is being deployed on another itinerary to be announced shortly. The 2,124 passenger Carnival Spirit will offer 18 seven-day Alaska cruises, as well as two eight-day voyages and a nine-day departure, from the Port of Seattle beginning in April through September 2020. Seven-day Glacier Route voyages run May 5 through Sept. 1, 2020 and include stops at Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan, as well as Victoria, B.C., and cruising Tracy Arm Fjord, while an eight-day cruise departs April 27, 2020, and adds a visit to Icy Strait Point, an unspoiled wilderness with some of the best whale and bear watching in…
