Carnival Cruise Line today announced that Carnival Spirit will operate its 2020 Alaska and Hawaii programs, replacing Carnival Legend which is being deployed on another itinerary to be announced shortly.

The 2,124 passenger Carnival Spirit will offer 18 seven-day Alaska cruises, as well as two eight-day voyages and a nine-day departure, from the Port of Seattle beginning in April through September 2020.

Seven-day Glacier Route voyages run May 5 through Sept. 1, 2020 and include stops at Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan, as well as Victoria, B.C., and cruising Tracy Arm Fjord, while an eight-day cruise departs April 27, 2020, and adds a visit to Icy Strait Point, an unspoiled wilderness with some of the best whale and bear watching in the state and the world’s longest zip-line.  There’s also a nine-day cruise round-trip from Seattle Sept. 8-17, 2020, featuring all of the ports on the eight-day cruise along with a day-long call in Sitka. A special seven-day Alaska cruise departing Vancouver April 20 and arriving in Seattle April 27, 2020, will also be offered.

Carnival Spirit will also embark on two longer-length Carnival Journeys cruises to Hawaii in 2020 – a 10-day cruise from Honolulu to Vancouver departing April 10 and an 11-day sailing from Vancouver to Honolulu departing Sept. 25.  Both cruises feature extended day-long visits to four tropical Polynesian ports:  Kona, Hilo, Nawiliwili and Maui with the 11-day voyage spending a full day and overnight in Maui.

In addition to visits to some of cruising’s most sought-after island locales, Carnival Journeys cruises provide unique insight into the destinations with local cuisine, entertainment and cultural programming within the various ports of call.  Activities focusing topics such as photography, cooking and arts and crafts, as well as a 1980s-themed “Throwback Sea Day” are also offered.

Combined with the line’s festive, one-of-a-kind shipboard atmosphere that allows guests so many ways to “Choose Fun,” a Carnival Spirit cruise is the perfect way to explore these two sought-after destinations.

The namesake in the line’s Spirit-class, Carnival Spirit offers a wide variety of amenities and facilities, highlighted by a classic American steakhouse located forward at the top of a soaring, nine-deck-high atrium and housed under a red tinted glass dome that forms the front portion of the ship's funnel.  Also featured are complimentary children’s programs in three age groups, indoor and outdoor promenades and a luxurious health and wellness facility.  The ship is ideal for scenic Alaska Hawaii cruises with 80 percent of staterooms offering an ocean view or private balcony.
