Carnival Cruise Line’s Mardi Gras – already creating buzz among cruise fans – is now open for sale of its inaugural schedule for 2020. Mardi Gras will offer a diverse schedule with six- to 15-day sailings visiting top destinations throughout Europe and the Caribbean beginning in summer 2020. Following tremendous response to Carnival Cruise Line’s first-ever cruises from San Francisco, the line is adding five voyages from the port to Carnival Miracle’s previously announced inaugural schedule in 2020. Including the five new voyages, Carnival Miracle will now offer a total of 27 voyages within the wide-ranging program which includes four-day long weekend sailings to Ensenada, Mexico, 10-day cruises to Alaska and 15- and 16-day voyages  to Hawaii from March to September 2020. Carnival Cruise Line today revealed the first look at design details for the highly anticipated Mardi Gras, the line’s most innovative ship set to debut in 2020 and the first cruise ship in North America powered by LNG.  Mardi Gras will offer an extensive array of popular Carnival guest favorites along with new exciting experiences highlighted by six themed zones. Carnival Cruise Line has launched a new print advertising campaign developed in collaboration with SapientRazorfish aimed at travel trade publications serving the travel agent community. The ads emphasize what makes travel advisors special — the transformative guest experiences at sea that can only be delivered by travel advisors who know both their client and the Carnival product. Carnival Cruise Line’s Long Beach Cruise Terminal was recognized in Porthole Cruise Magazine’s annual Editor-in-Chief Awards as the Most Improved Cruise Terminal. Winners are selected by the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Bill Panoff based on his personal experiences with various cruise operators throughout the year. The awards are featured in the January issue of Porthole Cruise Magazine. Originally opened by Carnival in 2003, the Long Beach Cruise Terminal underwent an extensive, multi-million-dollar renovation last year that more than doubled the size of the facility while enhancing the guest experience and operational flow. The Carnival AirShip has taken to the skies of Los Angeles and surrounding areas, completing its first week, delighting consumers and travel agents who have spotted it high above cultural moments, Carnival ships at the Long Beach Cruise Terminal and more. Attendees to the Post Rose Parade Showcase of Floats in Pasadena got the first glimpse of the Carnival Airship as it flew over more than 40 floats, including Carnival’s first entry into the Rose Parade, “Come Sail Away,” a floral replica of Carnival Panorama.
