Carnival Splendor is returning to her homeport of Sydney, Australia after a lively send-off from Seattle, Washington that followed a successful deployment as part of Carnival’s largest-ever cruise season in Alaska. Carnival Splendor will be the first Carnival ship returning to guest operations in Australian waters in nearly 1,000 days.
On Tuesday, Sept. 6, a Sail Away party on the ship’s top deck kicked off a 23-day transpacific Carnival Journeys cruise. Guests from all around the world, including many from Australia, will visit six amazing ports across Fiji and Hawaii before arriving in Sydney on Sept. 30.
Carnival Splendor’s first cruise from Sydney will depart on Oct. 1, a milestone which coincides with Carnival’s 10th year of operations in Australia. Carnival Splendor will operate year-round from Sydney and offer a range of itineraries. For more information on Carnival Splendor’s Australian sailings, click here.
In November, Carnival Luminosa will join the Carnival fleet and complete the cruise line’s two-ship deployment to Australia with sailings from Brisbane.
