Gus Antorcha joined Carnival Cruise Lines in June 2010 as senior vice president – guest commerce and was named to his current position, chief operating officer, last year. In this position, he oversees hotel, technical and marine operations across the Carnival fleet, as well as onboard revenues, supply chain, product development, shipboard human resources and shipbuilding.

Prior to joining Carnival, Antorcha spent 12 years with the Boston Consulting Group, (BCG), a global strategy and management consulting firm that includes Carnival as a client. During his time at BCG, he oversaw the implementation of number of shipboard projects for Carnival as partner and managing director of BCG’s Miami office where he focused on branded travel and hospitality companies, including the hotel, airline, timeshare, restaurant and cruise line sectors.
Antorcha graduated magna cum laude with distinction in economics from Duke University with a BA in economics and markets and management and subsequently earned an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Antorcha resides in Key Biscayne, Fla.
